SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Team Waste Residential Driver operates refuse collection vehicles in Shelby County TN on pre-assigned and special routes to pick up garbage, or yard waste. Performs pre-trip and post-trip truck check and cleaning; and performs other related work as assigned. Work is performed under supervision and performance is reviewed while in progress and upon completion through direct observation of routes, and discussion of problems. LOOKING FOR BOTH ASL AND REAR LOAD DRIVERS ASAP!
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a Class A or B CDL valid for the state in which the position works. Requires a clean driving record.
At least 1 year of previous experience operating a Residential vehicle requiring a CDL within the past 7 (seven) years
Must be at least 21 years of age or older
Understand refuse collection policies, procedures, guidelines and practices; understanding of Department of Transportation and State requirements for operators of commercial motor vehicles.
Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction
See in the normal visual range with or without correction
Exhibit normal range of body motion
Drive a rear loader refuse truck observing legal and defensive driving practices.
Manipulate heavy equipment control levers
Follow a designated refuse collection route or work schedule;

Collects and dumps garbage and refuse into refuse trucks while covering a designated route in a residential zone. Unloads refuse trucks at the landfill, transfer station, or similar facility.
Provides Distinguishable Different level of service through courteous and expeditious customer service in all aspects of refuse operation to the general public and customers. Exhibits a positive attitude towards company, customer and municipal goals.
Ensures garbage and recyclables at residences are picked up and transferred properly; pick up may require using back door. Tags improper refuse containers and waste;
Performs Daily Pre and Post Trip inspections as set forth by Waste Pro procedures and D.O.T. guidelines. Includes inspection under hood, check under carriage, check fluid levels and air tires.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Helper is responsible for assisting the refuse truck driver on pre-assigned and special routes to pick up garbage, yard waste, or recycling.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Picks up solid waste and places it in the back of a rear load garbage truck on specified routes often done manually or by pushing toter to tipper. Lifts and carries trash bags, bulk items and containers to the truck for disposal. Climbs onto and off of the rear truck step to load refuse, waste and carts. Operates packing mechanism to compact waste into the truck.
2. Provides a safe and courteous customer service in all aspects of refuse operation to the general public and customers. Exhibits a positive attitude towards company, customer and municipal goals.
3. Ensures garbage and recyclables at residences are picked up and transferred properly; pick up may require using back door.
4. Answers questions for residents and directs them to contact Customer Service or appropriate government office for additional information.
5. Must comply with all ANSI (American National Standards Institute), OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and company safety polices.
6. Assists Driver in safely backing up the truck by directing the Driver from the ground.
7. Cleans behind the compactor blade with shovel and hoe when directed. Sprays and cleans the hopper and truck at the end of each shift or as needed.
8. Reports any safety or customer service related issues to driver and supervisor, immediately.
9. Performs a variety of manual duties in the clean-up of scattered refuse; Cleans up the area around accidental waste spills and ensures customers containers are replaced properly.
10. May be required to work during emergency situations.
11. Assists other routes as needed to complete daily work.
12. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
As a Team Waste Residential Route Supervisor you will be responsible for the management of a team of CDL Route Drivers to ensure compliance, safety, and route completion for the customers we serve. Route Supervisors will oversee the performance of Team Waste Drivers with an emphasis on safety, customer service, productivity, and the development of all team members. The hours and physical demands may vary by route or area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage all day-to-day collection activities of CDL Drivers and Service Techs while on route for a designated line of business (Residential, Commercial, Roll-Off Container Delivery, etc.)
Dispatch daily assignments
Run Routes as necessary (absences, vacation, vehicle breakdown, etc.)
Plans and distributes monitors, and follow-up on daily route assignments to ensure customers are being serviced per company standards and agreements.
Certify the completion of all daily routes and ensure that all productivity goals are met through field audits.
Coach and develop employees by continuously communicating with team members and providing guidance for improvement and recognition of efforts.
Assist management in maintaining and monitoring all documentation relating to performance management.
Monitor all CDL Driver and Service Tech time and attendance, minimizing overtime and ensuring that drivers do not exceed limits established by regulatory agencies (e.g., 60-hour rule).
Ensure that CDL Drivers comply with regulatory agencies to maintain employment.
Partner with management to conduct and participate in daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings to ensure all employees are trained and follow all proper safety rules and regulations. • Conducts and/or assists with all investigations for accidents, injuries, and property damage claims.
Perform and monitor driver observations and personally conduct vehicle inspections to ensure compliance.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships between employees, co-workers, and management.
Job Requirements:
Must have Waste Industry experience.
Previous management/supervisory experience
Knowledge of area with the ability to read maps
Must have knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with proven customer service skills.
Computer skills, working knowledge of Windows applications, Microsoft applications.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Safely operate small box truck or other ancillary equipment on assigned route to service customers by safely delivering and removing residential roll-out carts to old and new customers within productivity guidelines established by management.
Essential Functions:
Operate small cube/box truck or other ancillary equipment to deliver and remove residential roll-out carts on assigned route.
Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and reports, daily truck report, route sheets and other documentation requested by supervisor daily.
Obtain and carry out daily work orders from supervisor or other specified person.
Maintain route quality standards as predetermined by management.
Keep truck and tools in good working condition by communicating mechanical problems to supervisor immediately.
Operate truck and equipment using prescribed techniques to eliminate driver-induced mechanical failures.
Ensure that any residential cart to be delivered is clean and in good repair.
Follow all safety standards and equipment checks and precautions in performance of all duties. Comply with all federal, state, local, and company rules on safety and vehicle operation.
Maintain clean vehicle by cleaning cab interior and exterior of vehicle.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education, Training, Experience and Licensing/Certification Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) desired.
Possess or have the ability to obtain Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Satisfactory driving record.
Must pass a DOT physical, drug screen and background check.
Must have above average tech skills to operate tablet daily.
Physical/Mental Demands:
Ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, climb, balance, and smell.
Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus due to the constant maneuvering of vehicle in tight and high traffic areas.
Ability to regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds.
Sitting may be required up to 75% of the time due to the primary function of driving.
Ability to work in usually loud conditions.

Job Summary
Works under direct supervision and follows established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks. Performs minor repairs and limited preventive maintenance (PM) on assigned equipment.

Assists with service calls for breakdowns.
